Union Market

The first event they’re going to be holding this summer is the Union Market Food Truck Rally, which will be held on June 15th. This event will feature over 30 food trucks, live music, and beer and wine gardens.
Taste of DC
If you’re a fan of good food and drink, then you won’t want to miss the Taste of DC event taking place on June 23-24. This year’s event will feature over 80 restaurants, 30 wineries, and 20 breweries from around the area. In addition to food and drink tastings, there will also be cooking demonstrations and live music.
The Giant National Barbecue Battle
If you’re looking for a good barbecue, the Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle is the event for you. Held on June 25 and 26, this battle pits some of the best barbecue chefs in the country against each other in a quest to create the best dish. There will also be live music and plenty of opportunities to try different types of barbecue, so this is definitely an event not to be missed!
DC Jazz Festival
The DC Jazz Festival is one of the largest jazz festivals in the country, and it takes place every summer in our nation’s capital. This year’s festival will be held from June 30th-July 16th at various venues around the city. The festival will feature over 100 events, including concerts, educational workshops, and film screenings.

“One With Eternity” Yayoi Kusama in the Hirshhorn Museum
The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden is currently hosting an exhibit of work by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. Titled “One with Eternity,” the exhibit features over 60 pieces by the artist, including paintings, sculptures, and installations. If you’re looking for something unique and beautiful, this is definitely the place to visit.
Pixelbloom at Artechouse
Artechouse is a new art gallery in DC that is dedicated to exploring the intersection of art and technology. Their latest exhibit, the fifth annual “Pixelbloom”, is an immersive experience that uses light and sound to create a one-of-a-kind environment. The exhibit runs from June 23rd through September 16th, so you have plenty of time to check it out.
Film Fest DC
If you’re a fan of movies, then you won’t want to miss Film Fest DC. Their 36th annual film festival takes place every year in our nation’s capital. This year’s festival will be held from April 13th-23rd and will feature 65 films from 35 different countries. In addition to the films, the festival also features panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and special events. There’s sure to be something for everyone at this year’s festival!
Futures at the Smithsonian’s Art and Industries Building
The Art and Industries Building is currently hosting an exhibit called “Futures”, which explores the future of American manufacturing through an array of interactives, artworks, technologies, and ideas that serve as glimpses into humanity’s next chapter. The exhibit features over 100 objects from the Smithsonian’s collections, as well as interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities. The exhibit runs from June 23rd through September 16th.
